Palau Robert presents the photographs of 12 world-renowned photographers at the “Disorder” exhibition of the Prix Pictet global award in photography and sustainability. The exhibition, which is ending its world tour of numerous countries, will be open to the public from 10 March to 28 May.
This is an itinerary which allows you to discover the historic and architectural heritage of the area of Castellterçol. In the village itself, you can visit the Museum House of Prat de la Riba, a distinguished Catalan son of the village, as well as the church of Sant Fruitós and, on the outskirts, the castle and the hermitage of Sant Miquel.
The itinerary takes you through ravines amidst the wild, rugged countryside of the Montsec sierra to the spectacular Mont-rebei gorge. You can also visit the 11th century Romanesque chapel of La Mare de Déu de la Pertusa, and the ruined castle beside it.
The Palau Robert looks back at the patronage and activism of J.B. Cendrós in support of Catalan culture in an exhibition open to the public from 20 December to 30 April 2017 in Room 4 in the Palau Robert.
The outstanding diversity of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, the church of Santa Maria in Castelló d'Empúries and the village of Pedret are the main attractions of the route. It is also a pleasant walk between cultivated fields, streams and marshes with the blue sea in the background. It is advisable not to do this route when there is a strong wind blowing.
