Between 17 May and 11 October, the showcase at Palau Robert will be dedicated to Pompeu Fabra and the Catalan language to mark 2018, the Year of Pompeu Fabra, which commemorates 150 years since the birth of the linguist and grammarian, and 100 years since the publication of the Catalan Grammar which brought the Catalan language up-to-date. This initiative aims to give visitors to the centre a closer insight into the main landmarks of the Catalan language in modern times and the role that Fabra played in this respect, featuring texts in Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
Palau Robert presents the exhibition ‘Testimonis de l'oblit # 2’ (Witnesses of Oblivion) which rescues from oblivion four of the major humanitarian crises of our times: the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Niger, Ethiopia and Colombia, with photos by Juan Carlos Tomasi and texts by Martín Caparrós, Santiago Roncagliolo, Laura Restrepo and Manuel Rivas.
